BS 718 : 1961 is generally aligned with ISO 649. This sub-series has a greater accuracy than the standard L50 Series, and is only available over a limited range. The length is 335mm and the range span covers 0.050 g/ml at 15°C with divisions to 0.0005 g/ml at 15°C. They are adjusted at 15°C and suitable for low surface tension. This sub-series is commonly used in the Petroleum industry and corresponds to IP 160.
